Day 5: Oak Park and FLW

While it was a long day of traveling, we got to see the intimate details of Frank Lloyd Wright’s home and studio. Not only did we learn about his designs, but we also learned about his ideals and desires, his loves and passions, and most importantly we learned that as an architect, he designed houses, furniture, and lifestyles.

The students did get to tour the Oak Park Library and understand the importance of designing with context, and got a delicious lunch at Giordanos, but in all, everyone wanted to leave Oak Park with a little piece of FLW.
